History
In 2008, the only Parkinson's Disease support groups were scheduled in Rochester, not always an easy trip for someone suffering from Parkinson's Disease. Undaunted, John W. Paul (1934-2020), having dealt with the disease for many years already, helped to establish our support group in Canandaigua along with his wife, Pat Smith. We owe John a debt of gratitude for starting our group with 12 people now grown to over 250.
Those attending travel from 11 western and central New York counties. When some of our members no longer can comfortably make the meetings, they remain connected via e-mail and/or Zoom sharing groups.
